Whenever I am feeling a little low I always find a way to cheer myself up, whether it’s actually buying anything or just having a little browse around. This time around I did go out with the intention to buy some new makeup, however, I couldn’t find anything that I really wanted or needed, so I stuck to looking for skincare. All of these I managed to get from Superdrug:
Barry’M Lip Scrub – £4.99
Olay’s 2 in 1 Hydration and Radiant Glow Cream – £9.99
Olay’s 2 in 1 Hydration and Flawless Blur Cream – £9.99
Vitamin E Gentle Oatmeal Exfoliator – £2.99
Vitamin E Dual Phase Cleansing Oil – £2.99
Garnier Micellar Extra Gentle Cleansing Wipes – £3.45
Then I also nipped into a Wilkinsons for a bin for home when I started looking at stationary. I’ve been wanting to buy a cute little project pad for when I am out and about and I get ideas for blogs posts in my head, I absolutely hate not being able to write them down straight away and then forgetting about them. That’s where I found this adorable little notepad with 4 tabs inside it, each tab has a little saying on it which gives me a smile each time I read them. I also bought some pens to go alongside and I simply only chose this because they reminded me of my childhood!
What do you do when you are feeling a little low?
How have you all been?
For my keeping, an eye on my period can be hard work at times it is so unpredictable and when a period starts I completely forget to take a note of when its started and finished. So knowing when it is supposed to come around again it’s a guessing game. EVE By Glow is an app you can download on your phone which helps you keep an eye on your period. When you first download the app it will ask when your last period was and how long your cycle is, this is something you can change if you are unsure.
There is a lot this app can do, below is a list of just a few of the things you can find.
- Track your period
- Communicate with others. There is a community section where you can join conversations or start your own if there is something you want help with or see if anyone is the same as you.
- Take part in different polls and create your own.
- Take part in quiz’s and test your knowledge on sex, periods, his body, body care and so much more.
- Know when your most fertile days are if you are trying for a baby.
- Create a daily log of how you’ve been feeling.
- See what percent of your cycle twins have logged the same symptoms.
- Health tips
- And so much more.
I personally love this app, for someone how finds it hard keeping track on my period it is just what I needed and I will find it more
helpful this year to keep up to date with my most fertile days when I start trying for a baby. I have been wanting to share this app with you on here as I know how stressful it can be at times tacking your period if you are not on birth control, hopefully, it may help someone else like me out.
Have you tried any period tracking apps?
Foundations.. Where do I start with them, I am highly fussy when it comes to my foundation. I generally stay away from buying new foundations as when I have I don’t seem to like them and they stay sat on top of my mirror until I decide to go back to them to try again and give them a second chance. Another problem I seem to have is I can never seem to find the right colour for me sometimes I can get it accurate and then sometimes it’s completely different to my skin tone.
However, with L’oreal True Match foundation I think its perfect for me and I will always go back to it after I have tried another one out.
Price: £9.99 – I really don’t think you could go wrong with the price it’s not too expensive if you are on a budget. I know there are cheaper ones out there but I think this is a perfect foundation so I would always pay this price for a foundation that gives me everything I need.
Coverage: I find that the coverage for this foundation is actually perfect for me. You can make it a little coverage or a full coverage if you would want to. Using a sponge and dabbing it around your face very lightly using the minimum amount can give you that even coverage so it will barely look like you have any on. Then I have found if I use a foundation brush to apply the product and then get any excess off with the sponge you can get a higher coverage without your face looking caked in foundation.
Staying Power: Amazing – I have found that this foundation has been through so much with me all the different types of weather and nothing seems to disturb it. I work long days and I have always wanted a foundation that lasts the day, not just a few hours. Without a doubt, this is the foundation that achieves that for me!
What’s your favourite foundation?
Welcome to the new year and a fresh start for my little blog and me.
Last year I started my blog with the hope to keep up with it, however, that never happened to me as my work life become a lot busier. I started to have a more active role in helping out open up other sites for the company I work for, it was a good step for me in my profession but it did affect my blog, which wasn’t something I did want. This year, however, will be different I have more warning of when things like this will be happening so I can plan my blog a lot better than I did.
- New posts will be up every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 7 PM UK time.
- Sunday will be my highly lazy day where my blog is concerned, I will be devoting my Sundays to reading and giving some love to other blogs!
- The other days where I am not preparing my posts, I will be working to make my social media better!
- I hope to gain more follows on my blog and hopefully reach 200 by the end of the year!
- I’d love to also become more active in the blogging community and gain more friends out of it, whether that be friends I get to go out and meet or just friends I have there over the internet.
I would like to thank everyone who has been reading my blog especially when the content wasn’t at it’s best, I make this promise to you that it will from now on be consistent and the content will be worth reading.
What are your goals for this year?
